Spring 2026 Updates
Since our last big update in October, we’ve shipped a number of features focused on smarter test execution, better integrations, and stronger security for your test data. Here’s what’s new.
Auto-Retry Failed Tests

Scheduled tests that fail can now automatically be retried before reporting a failure. This catches transient issues like WordPress brief network hiccups or temporary server slowdowns so you only get alerted when something is actually broken. You can enable Auto-Retry from your Organization’s Platform Settings.
Slack & Webhook Notifications

You can now receive test pass/fail notifications directly in Slack. For teams that want to integrate CheckView with custom dashboards, Zapier, Make, or internal tools, you can also set up webhook URLs to receive test result payloads.
Secure Credential Storage

Assign steps can now optionally use encrypted credentials stored in the test flow settings. If your test flows require logging in with a username and password, this is an ideal way to handle that securely.
Custom Cookies

You can now add custom cookies to any test flow from the test flow settings page. Cookies are injected into the browser before your test starts running. This is useful for bypassing geo-restrictions, setting language preferences, or pre-authenticating sessions that your tests depend on.
Coming Soon 🙂

- UX Audits: An AI-powered UX analysis tool that reviews your site’s screenshots and generates a visual report with actionable recommendations and business impact.
- AI Test Failure Summaries: When a test fails, you’ll be able to request an on-demand AI summary that analyzes the screenshots, steps, and errors to explain what went wrong and link you to relevant troubleshooting docs.
- REST API & MCP Server: A full REST API with 28+ endpoints for managing your tests programmatically, plus an MCP server package for integrating CheckView directly into AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor.
All new features are live today across all plans. As always, we love hearing your ideas and feedback, reach out to our team if you have any questions!
