Account Settings

The My Account page in CheckView is where you can manage personal account settings such as your contact information, security preferences, and display options. While this section provides control over individual user settings, most functional configurations related to test flows, billing, and organization-wide settings are managed under Organization Settings at the organization level.

My Account Sections

  1. Details: Displays and allows you to update your personal information.
    • Fields: First Name, Last Name, Email Address
    • Email Address: Used for sending account-related notifications such as password resets, test alerts, or critical updates.
  2. Security: Enables you to manage your account’s security settings.
    • Set a New Password: Update your password for added security or after a reset.
    • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a verification code during login. 2FA is enabled per account, not at the organization level.
    • Pro Tip: Enabling 2FA is highly recommended to safeguard your account, especially if your organization works with sensitive data or complex workflows.
  3. Date and Time: Allows you to customize how dates and times are displayed in your dashboard.
    • Default Timezone: Set your preferred timezone.
    • Date Format: Choose between formats like MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY.
    • Time Format: Select 12-hour or 24-hour clock.
    • Important Note: These settings are specific to your account and do not affect other users in your organization.
    • Pro Tip: Set the timezone to align with your work hours for accurate scheduling of tests and viewing timestamps.
  4. Privacy and Notifications: Manage preferences for updates, privacy requests, and account deletion.
    • Opt-in/Out of News and Updates: Choose whether to receive CheckView-related news, tips, and product updates.
    • GDPR Data Subject Rights (DSR) Requests: Submit a request to view, modify, or delete your personal data in compliance with GDPR.
    • Account Deletion: Request to delete your account permanently.
    • Important Note: These requests are not automated; CheckView support will follow up to confirm and process your request.

Pro Tip: For team-wide changes or billing updates, coordinate with your organization’s admin or visit the Organization Settings section directly.
