Invalid submit ID Error

If you’re seeing the “Invalid submit ID” error message appearing within a form after submission, it’s typically due to CleanTalk Anti-Spam not properly whitelisting CheckView’s IP addresses. This error can prevent CheckView from successfully completing form submission tests.

How CheckView Handles CleanTalk Whitelisting

CheckView automatically attempts to whitelist the platform’s IP with each test, rotating through different IPs to ensure thorough testing coverage. However, in cases where the whitelisting does not process correctly, you can manually whitelist CheckView’s IPs directly within your CleanTalk account for a more stable testing experience.

Steps to Manually Whitelist CheckView IPs in CleanTalk

To manually whitelist CheckView IPs, follow these steps in your CleanTalk dashboard. This setup will ensure all CheckView IPs are recognized and allowed by CleanTalk’s security layers:

  1. Access Your Personal Lists in CleanTalk: Log into your CleanTalk account and navigate to the Anti-Spam and SpamFireWall sections of your Personal Lists.
  2. Add each CheckView IP to the Whitelist for both the Anti-Spam and SpamFirewall lists:
    • For each CheckView IP you add:
      • Click on “Add New Filter” to initiate a new whitelist entry.
      • Record Value: Enter each CheckView IP address provided. For an IP network, append /32 to the end of each IP (e.g., 123.45.67.89/32).
      • Record Type: Select “IP Address” or “IP Network” if you’re using the /32 notation.
      • Whitelist for All Sites: Ensure this setting applies the whitelist across all sites within CleanTalk.
      • Note: You can add a note, such as “CheckView Bot,” for reference.
    • Save on the Whitelist, Not the Blacklist

By whitelisting the IPs manually in both the Anti-Spam and SpamFireWall lists, you can prevent CleanTalk from blocking CheckView and reduce the chance of encountering the “Invalid submit ID” error in future tests. This setup will support consistent, uninterrupted testing of your forms and ensure that CleanTalk’s security measures do not interfere with CheckView’s functionality.
