Platform Update: January 2025 Edition
As we step into the new year, we’re thrilled to share the latest enhancements to CheckView! While the weather may be chilly, we’re turning up the heat with exciting new features and improvements inspired by your valuable feedback.
Recent Updates
- Conditional Logic Form Support: This is a game-changer! CheckView.io now supports conditional logic in auto-generated test flows. Our bot intelligently completes forms by navigating through all fields until there are no more steps to complete. This means you no longer need to add custom steps for forms with complex conditional logic, saving you significant time and effort.
- Create Steps as You Go: We’ve improved how test flows are created. Now, steps are saved as they’re generated. If a test fails, you won’t lose the progress made, simply pick up where the bot left off and complete the remaining steps manually.
- Import and Export Steps: Introducing import/export functionality! Export your test steps as a JSON file and import them into another test flow, whether it’s for the same site or a different one. This is perfect for duplicating custom steps across similar sites, just update the URLs and variables, and you’re good to go.
- Test Flow Comments: Collaboration and documentation are key for QA. You can now add comments directly to test flows. Use this feature to document why a test failed, provide context, or share important details with your team, all in one place.
- Site Health and Logs: We’ve added a new Site Health and Logs section to each website’s dashboard. This makes debugging CheckView issues faster and more straightforward. Here, you can view:
- Active WordPress core, theme, and plugin versions.
- Logs showing whether our bots could connect using their IPs and bypass protections.
- Improved Website Management: Managing your sites is now smoother with enhanced filtering based on website count. This update reduces pagination, making it easier to find and manage your sites.
- Advanced Test Flow URL Support: Test flows now support queries and absolute URLs. This enables you to trigger specific actions, like opening modals, by using customized URLs.
- Enhanced Email Verification: Our email verification test step now injects the test ID into submissions, even when the email address isn’t visible in the body or reply-to field. This ensures you can confirm your forms are sending emails correctly.
- Delete Key Support: Small but mighty, you can now use the delete key when tweaking your custom test flows, making adjustments faster and more intuitive.
- One-Click Variable Copying: Easily copy variables with a single click for quick insertion into test steps, another time-saving enhancement to streamline your workflow.
